The witch tower is a remnant of the old town wall. Next to it is the birthplace of Ferdinand Braun, the Nobel prize winner and inventor of the Braun tube situated.
The 14m high witch tower at the Kanalstraße in Fulda is one of the best preserved towers of the medieval fortification. The name refers to the usage as a women prison in the Middle Ages.
